My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. Why? Because I have lots of fun at the Spring Festival.

The Spring Festival is a popular holiday in our country. It is in January or February. Our family get together. We have a big dinner at my grandparents home. I always eat a lot of delicious food. My cousin and me both get red packets from our grandparents. My parents usually go shopping with me. We buy some nice clothes for ourselves. We often watch TV at home and sometimes read books or surf the Internet. Sometimes, we greet other people on the phone.

Im always happy at the Spring Festival. Which is your favourite festival?

Spring is coming. Birds are singing and flowers are blooming. I wanted to plant spring in my home, so I, together with my dad, went to the market and bought some flower seedlings. We prepared to plant them in the yard. When we were back home, we went into action in no time. Some time later, we finished. I will patiently wait for spring to come to the yard now.

Spring is coming. It is the season for planting trees. On Sunday, our teacher led us to the suburb to plant trees. We brought some spades, pails and saplings with us. On arriving there, everybody went into action in no time. We dug square pits first. Then two persons were needed to plant a tree. One held the sapling carefully and the other put the soil in. I wish the saplings would grow up quickly.

My father is a kind man. He is not very tall but he is a man of perseverance. He works very hard and his services are highly appreciated.

My father is a man of devotion. Every morning he gets up the earliest to make breakfast for us. In the evening, he is always the late to come back home. At weekends, he always takes us to go outing in his car. He is a man of few words, but he often says to me A little learning is a dangerous thing. I will always remember these words.

I love my father very much.

Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong. On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother. She smiled to us and said April fools!

My younger sister is young, but she likes doing housework very much. She can cook nice food. She is not tall, but she is pretty. She is polite and helpful. She doesn’t go to school. She is only seven. She likes playing computer games very much. She can speak English. She often rides a bike to the park to fly kites.

She is lovely, so we all love her.
